With the COVID-19 shutdown adversely affecting the key industries of the Rogue Valley, many residents are concerned about the economic future of our region. In this Friday Forum via Zoom at 3:30 PM, on
August 14, Gary Anderson will preview an OLLI course he will present this fall on the topic. Gary will draw on over 20 years of consulting experience in regions ranging from Eastern Europe to the Silicon Valley to describe how a region’s economy operates and what determines its potential. He will use the Rogue Valley region as an interactive case study, evaluating its pre-COVID-19 economic structure, discussing the relationship between its economy and external forces, and identifying future opportunities and threats.
The discussion will be held via Zoom. A Zoom invitation will be sent out to all residents via eMail on Wednesday, August 12.
