Library Procedures

The Mountain Meadows Library is located in the Clubhouse. The Library is a resident-initiated and implemented project. It is run by a group of dedicated resident librarians who organize and maintain a library of books, audiobooks, DVDs (movies and educational), CDs, magazines, and newspapers for use by residents of Mountain Meadows.  It currently houses over 3500 volumes of all genres: fiction and non-fiction, large print, mystery, biography/memoir, current affairs/political, art, drama, poetry, history, humor, health, animals, travel, science, religion/inspiration, sports, reference and others. The Library is a work in progress with new books purchased with budgeted library funds or donated by residents.

New books can be donated in honor of someone (birthday, anniversary, in memory of, congratulations) through the "Bookmark-A-Milestone" program. To select a "milestone" book, you are invited to consult the Wish List on the special bulletin board in the Library. Then, follow the procedures that are posted. Donations will be acknowledged in the Weekly Update and letters acknowledging the donation will be sent to honorees or their families. A commemorative bookplate will be placed in each book.
